I have been a fan of Classic Doom and Doom 2 my whole life, and as of the start of 2023 I am an aspiring Speedrunner and map reviewer.
I grew up watching my dad and grandpa play Doom, and since then I’ve played it on and off every year or so. Around 2020 I returned to it permanently, and since then it has become an obsessive hobby of mine. I may not have a big name in the community yet, but I am definitely an active observer of it. I’ve always played with cheats or saves in the past, but I now recognize that the true way to enjoy a Doom map is saveless. Since the start of 2023 I have been rapidly increasing my skills in order to properly speedrun and review maps from the community.
There is an ever-expanding abyss of content that has been coming from that community since 1993, and I will never be able to catch up with it all. However, I have made it my secondary project to catalogue everything that looks to be worth a review. Any Wad that seems worthy I put in my massive excel sheet, which I also use to keep track of my best UV-Max times and ratings. I will include that here for anyone who would like to look through my stats, or use it for themselves. I will also include my scoring guide, and any other related links.

My Doomworld page
It is mostly for stalking new wad releases, I don’t post much.
Every single notable wad I could see myself playing at some point. Sourced from the cacowards, the top 100 wads, Doomer Boards Projects, other notable community projects, the Doom wiki pages for notable mappers, Decino, MtPain27, Nirvana, “NEW DOOM WADS” videos, and anything else that caught my eye while scouring through various lists and forums. It is consistently updated with new things weekly, as long with my own table filling. If you’d like to use it for yourself you’ll have to remove all my stats, but still faster than compiling this list yourself.
The reference sheet I use when deciding my ratings. I rate difficulty and design o a 1-10 scale for each map I play. Maps that are a memorable enough experience for me I may add as a benchmark for a certain rating on this list. In the future the scale may have to go above 10 knowing the great heights the community has gone in both aspects.
Below the reference guide is also the average scores for each full wad I’ve played in order. I would like to say my individual scores must be pretty accurate seeing how accurate the averages are in how I would scale the full wads.
